When it comes to giving unsolicited advice to moms and moms-to-be, a lot of people on social media—hiding behind relative anonymity—suddenly become experts. Although this phenomenon deserves to be studied further by science, Khloé Kardashian is not here for their policing. As we know, Khloé is something of a fitness hobbyist, and she posts about her workouts on the reg. She is also one of the two KarJenners who is confirmed to be pregnant (sister Kim is expecting via surrogate; half-sister Kylie has not confirmed her rumored pregnancy, though recently unearthed paparazzi pics appear to show a baby bump thriving). Naturally, when a woman in the public eye (or just a woman!) is pregnant, all of these self-appointed motherhood experts begin imparting their unsolicited opinions unto said woman. And when they started laying into Khloé for daring to work out while pregnant, she decided she would be having none of it.

"For the ones who think they are physicians all of a sudden 🤦🏼‍♀️ but MY doctor and I communicate and my workouts are cleared and highly recommended. Thanks kiddos! Don't make me stop sharing shit," she tweeted, along with a link to Fit Pregnancy's list of 33 reasons to work out.

It should kind of be a no-brainer that a pregnant woman usually has a pretty good handle on what's best for her body, and that she should be the one in control of making those decisions. And if she cleared her workout routine with her doctor, that's even better.

On a larger scale, mommy-shaming (and yes, it counts if they're expectant) is a huge cultural issue. The advent of parenting mega-bestsellers advocating a particular "school" of parenting in the 20th century, plus the rise of social media in the 21st, has resulted in an ever-present chorus of advisers who feel obliged to tell moms and moms-to-be that they're doing [insert literally anything here] wrong. And it's not just celebrities who get hit with the brunt of it: It's plenty common for non-famous women to be targeted as well.

No two pregnancies and no two children are exactly alike—so let's just all take a chill pill and let Khloé keep sharing some of that incredible workout inspo. While, um, we sit on the couch.
