When news broke that Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have broken up after five years together, fans were shocked because Gaga and Kinney seemed to have a rock-solid relationship. It's like that old saying goes: The couple that has sex on a canvas together for a magazine cover, stays together. (Or something like that...)
But we have good news: There's still hope for these two! In a new Instagram post, Gaga confirmed that, yes, she and Kinney are not together at the moment, but that doesn't mean this split is permanent.
"Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates," she writes. "Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
