In a much-needed move that counteracts brands that offer only one universal "nude" shade of lingerie, Target announced plans to add four new color choices, making it easier than ever for women across all skin tones to shop bras, underwear, and hosiery.

"At Target we know that women come in all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, and our assortment needs to reflect their outfitting needs," Michelle Wlazlo, Target's senior vice president of apparel and accessories, said in a press release. "As part of our continued commitment to inclusivity, our team did extensive research to expand our intimate offerings so guests can find the perfect shade of nude to match their skin tone."

The new shades include cocoa, caramel, honey beige, and mochaccino (check them out here to find your match), and Target says to expect more inclusive tones in the near future.

Cocoa

And while the mass retailer is by no means the first to do this—brands including Naja and Cosabella have been selling options in diverse skin tones for a while—Target's offerings will definitely be among the most affordable on the market, with underwear starting at $5 and bras at $10.

Target also revealed plans to role out a collection of nude shoes in various shades—much like the brilliant, though not exactly accessible, Christian Louboutin “All Women” collection)—this fall.

Caramel

This announcement follows Target's latest swimsuit campaign, which showcases a variety of women who haven't been digitally retouched, meaning stretch marks and cellulite are all in full view.

It's refreshing to see such a mass retailer catching on to the fact that women come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Now it's about time other brands followed.
