The Internet Is Obsessed With Prince Harry and Obama's Kensington Palace Reunion

Cue the nostalgia.

Former President Barack Obama is just off an Italian vacation where he and Michelle were living their absolute best lives, but he apparently doesn't have plans to leave Europe anytime soon. After stopping in Berlin to give a speech with Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel, he swung up to Great Britain to play some golf in Scotland—and then headed south to Kensington Palace to hang out with his old BFF, Prince Harry. Twitter, understandably, is freaking out about this. Almost as hard, in fact, as they obsessed over Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and new French President Emmanuel Macron's bromantic stroll last week.

It's been a minute since the two actual friends (not just politics friends) got together at Kensington; the last time was for a dinner last year with Michelle and other members of the royal family. This latest visit focused not just on mutual friendship but on shared purposes: Kensington Palace tweeted about the meeting on Saturday, saying that the two leaders "discussed support for veterans, mental health, conservation, empowering young people, and the work of their respective foundations. @BarackObama also offered his condolences to the victims of the Manchester attack and support for those recovering from injuries." A few hours later, Obama tweeted a statement of his own: "Good to see my friend Prince Harry in London to discuss the work of our foundations and offer condolences to victims of the Manchester attack."

And then the Internet ran with it—with lots of compliments being directed toward seeing Obama back in action (and just how refreshed he looks).
