While the later movies get increasingly complex, dark, and heart-breaking, the first HP flick is solidly just a good time. Sorcerer’s Stone features spirited performances from the pint-size cast and plenty of fun on the Quidditch pitch and in Diagon Alley. A world where the strongest magic is Love. Simply wonderful.

BING BONG. Yes, this movie will make you cry, but it’ll also remind you that it’s okay to cry. It’s important to cry. It’s good to cry. Feelings make us human, and if you can’t afford therapy, this might be the next best thing. Plus, the voice cast is pretty awesome.

This gives a whole new meaning to “in sickness and in health.” When his ex-girlfriend (Zoe Kazan) goes into a coma, a stand-up comedian (Kumail Nanjiani) realizes she’s the love of his life while bonding with her parents (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) by her bedside. And it’s all based on the real love story of married writing team Emily Gordon and Nanjiani. Don’t worry, the hospital scenes aren’t too stressful, and the whole cast keeps things pretty light.
