The stars are shining bright in Hollywood this morning, and we're not just talking about Lady Gaga. The 2016 Golden Globe winner (for American Horror Story: Hotel) was pretty much guaranteed another nomination at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards—this time for her incredible performance in A Star Is Born—and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association didn't let her down.

Gaga's costar/director/friend-for-life Bradley Cooper also has a lot to celebrate, thanks to nominations in the Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director category. But he'll face fierce competition from Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, and If Beale Street Could Talk in what has been a stellar year for film. For Best Picture, Comedy, it'll be a tight race between Crazy Rich Asians (Constance Wu nabbed a nomination), The Favourite, Green Book, Mary Poppins Returns and Vice.

On the TV side, comedy darling The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel continues its winning streak with three nominations, including Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical. The reigning Best Comedy winner will face competition from freshman series The Kominsky Method, Kidding, and Barry, among others. The biggest shock was the absence of This Is Us in all categories. Instead, Pose, The Americans, Killing Eve, Bodyguard and Homecoming will compete for Best TV Drama.

At this morning's ceremony, the Hollywood Foreign Press announced that there will be a special achievement award for television this year. That award—still to be named—will serve as a complement to the Cecil B. DeMille Award, which is typically given out for lifetime achievement in film. Both recipients will be announced in the coming days. (Update: Carol Burnett will be the first ever recipient of the brand new television achievement award. Named in her honor, the Carol Burnett Award will be presented annually to an honoree who has made outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.)

Meanwhile, congrats are in order for Sandra Oh, who not only was nominated for Best Actress on BBC America's Killing Eve, but will be cohosting the Globes with Andy Samberg. And Idris Elba's daughter, Isan, will serve as Golden Globe ambassador.

Who else has reason to celebrate with champagne at the crack of dawn today? Read on for the full list of Golden Globe nominees!
