On Saturday Meghan Markle finally walked down the aisle at the royal wedding to marry Prince Harry. During the ceremony Meghan wore an elegant, streamlined custom Givenchy dress, but she switched it up for the second reception of the day to debut a stunning halter-neck, low-back Stella McCartney gown. Just like the bride, some of Meghan and Harry's 200 celebrity guests at the second reception changed into more glamorous looks as well.

Unlike the wedding and breakfast reception, this bash was under lock and key, with guests reportedly asked to surrender their phones upon arrival. Details of who wore what are therefore a tiny bit scarce, but judging by the looks that did get posted, the night's looks were the literal definition of "to the nines."

Serena Williams

Leading the pack in outfit changes was Serena Williams, who also happened to bring fans and followers along via Instagram Stories for her entire royal wedding fashion journey today. First step? A gold sheet mask before slipping in to her pink Versace dress.

For her second look, she swapped the Versace for Valentino, which came in the form of long gown with glorious flowers from the line's fall 2018 collection. As Serena wrote on Instagram, "Thank you for making me look special on this special evening. @maisonvalentino."

The best part? Tucked under her gown was a pair of sneakers (because everyone knows those are easier to dance in than heels).

And take it from Serena—this is one styling trick she swears by. As she captioned the post: "Little known fact: I often wear sneakers under my evening gown. These @maisonvalentino @pppiccioli gave to me last min. I told him be careful I tend to be comfy for long nights #beingserena"

Fun fact: The newlyweds actually provided slippers for those who couldn't even with their heels anymore. Troian Bellisario was a fan:
