The next time you admire Demi Lovato's body confidence, know that Kim Kardashian deserves some of the credit. Lovato, who will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, revealed that Kardshian's famously curvy, and celebrated, body couldn't have come into popularity at a better time.
She tells Ellen: "When the Kardashians came on the scene, that was the first time that I really associated curves with beauty, and it was just so new to me. I remember thinking, 'Wow, that's so cool,' and even in a time when I was struggling with food, I was able to look at Kim's curves and be like, 'I should really be proud of my curves.'"
And to that we say, gracias, Kim!
Lovato, who's part Mexican, has been very outspoken about her body-related issues. For a 2014 GBL cover story, Lovato noted that embracing her Latin side, where curvy bodies are considered nothing but beautiful, also helped redefine her old perceptions.
