Angelina Jolie reveals quite a bit in her new interview with Vanity Fair. She opens up, briefly, about her divorce from Brad Pitt, saying things became "difficult" in summer 2016. She also squashes any speculation their family's on-the-go, humanitarian lifestyle was a reason for the split. “[Our lifestyle] was not in any way a negative,” she tells the magazine. “That was not the problem. That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we are able to give our children." On how her family is doing now, Jolie says, "We’re all just healing from the events that led to the filing. . . . They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from some . . . from life, from things in life.”

But the biggest bombshell Jolie drops in the interview is that she was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy last year. (If you're unfamiliar, Bell's Palsy is a type of facial paralysis that causes you to lose control of the muscles on one side of your face. The condition caused half of Jolie's face to droop.)

“Sometimes women in families put themselves last until it manifests itself in their own health," she said.

The actress tells VF she also started noticing she had extra gray hairs and drier skin. “I can’t tell if it’s menopause or if it’s just been the year I’ve had," she said.

She isn't letting these issues derail her, though. Acupuncture helped Jolie reach a full recovery from Bell's Palsy—and she has a very empowering mentality when it comes to the other aspects of her health.

"I actually feel like more of a woman because I'm being smart about my choices, and I'm putting my family first, and I'm in charge of my life and my health," she said. "I think that's what makes a woman complete."
