Don't bother dragging Gwyneth Paltrow and Goop through the mud, she's done it for you.

On Friday, the first edition of Goop magazine (a quarterly glossy launched in tandem with Condé Nast) made its debut featuring—who else?—founder and CEO Paltrow. And in a tongue-in-cheek move, she poses on the cover completely nude and coated in mud alongside the tagline "Earth to Gwyneth."

The story itself includes sound bites about Paltrow's particular brand of wellness (cleansing, bee-venom therapy), as well as quotes on perfection (“You can only be a perfectionist if you think, erroneously, that there’s a finish line in life. I try to succeed and fail all the time in all kinds of ways") and general health (“For me, when I take my shoes off and walk in the grass, it’s so healing. It’s hard to find scientific evidence for the idea that ‘I feel good.’ But by trying, you get so much juice out of life.”)

The issue also includes plenty of stories that fit the Goop model—crystal healing, healthy to-go lunches, finding your inner sex goddess, and fall fashion.

Paltrow announced the print venture in April, taking her well-known brand and commerce platform, which was founded in 2008, to the next level. During the past nine years, Paltrow's company hasn't only spawned its own conference and fashion and beauty lines, but also introduced terms and concepts like "vaginal steaming," "jade eggs," and "conscious uncoupling" to a broad, if occasionally critical, audience.

This marks Paltrow's first foray into print media, and it definitely aims to please the social media generation with a cover that could double as an Instagram post and inside pages that are splashed with color, clean lines, simple fonts, and imagery of the actress experimenting with various wellness and beauty products.

Check out the cover below, and pick up an issue of Goop magazine—which retails for $14.99—on newsstands September 19. (Or preorder issues here.)
