Let's back up: Over the weekend, Baby's All Right, a Brooklyn bar, posted a photo to Instagram of a receipt that seemingly showed Jenner's signature—but no tip. The implication was clear: Everyone's favorite supermodel allegedly hit up this bar, racked up a $24 tab, and left without compensating the person slinging her drinks (or avocado toast). "Don't forget to tip your bartender," Baby's All Right captioned the photo, driving the point home that Jenner skipped out on gratuity.
Naturally social media had a field day with this. People love trashing the Kardashian-Jenners for doing nothing, so this situation was pretty much Thanksgiving for Troll Twitter. "Kendall Jenner doesn't tip pretends to be shocked," one person tweeted. "The bar Kendall Jenner went to in Brooklyn posted this [receipt] showing she doesn't tip 😕 I hate celebs man," griped another.
Of course, many people came to her defense, asserting Jenner could've left a cash tip or had terrible service. Every twentysomething is familiar with the struggle of, "OK, I only have $12 on my debit card, which means I'll charge $7 and do the rest in cash." Who's to say Jenner didn't have a similar dilemma? (I mean, she's rich AF, so this probably didn't happen—but you get my point. We don't know the full story!)
But KJ is setting the record straight once and for all. The 21-year-old confirmed on Twitter Monday night that she tipped her bartender with dollar bills. "Damn, I guess next time we won't tip in cash," she tweeted. See her message for yourself, below:
