Admit it: You've spent at least a solid 15 minutes binging blackhead-popping videos on the Internet. It's one of the most bizarre (and disgusting) trends to come out of 2016. Even the most squeamish person can't resist watching someone else's pimples get squashed up close and personal. Psychologists hypothesize that we love these videos for the same reason we enjoy horror movies: It's an adrenaline rush that allows us to face the most grotesque elements of life. Simply put, if you're a pimple-popping video junkie, you are not alone.

Heck, this video that's been viewed more than 20 million times is proof of that. Facebook user Mach5Weird recently uploaded a supercut of several blackhead removals, and it's oddly mesmerizing—albeit totally vile.

At first, it's difficult to gauge what you're even looking at. Is this a bizarre video of someone's intestines? An oral surgery? A sci-fi horror movie about alien probing? About 15 seconds in, you realize that you're looking at a crazy-zoomed-in shot of a person's pores. And that giant, intimidating silver thingmajig? It's an extraction tool! When the tool hits the skin and debris pours out, everything becomes frighteningly clear. This is a blackhead removal video. And you can't look away.

This fresh Hell (or Heaven?) carries on for three excruciating minutes. If you're game, check it out, below. It's not for the faint of heart.

The only comforting thing about this video is that the people getting "popped" (I just gagged) are going to have flawless AF skin when it's all over—if they properly removed the blackheads, of course. Remember, if you're trying this at home, you need to warm up your skin using steam or a warm washcloth before doing any extraction. (That said, extractions of this caliber are usually best left to the pros.) Also, never scratch or pick at your blackheads. It's a one-way ticket to acne scars. So really, don't do it.

Happy popping!
